The
Baton Rouge/Lafayette Chapter was officially chartered in
March of 1997 by ARMA International. While still
considered a fairly new chapter, it has begun to earn
recognition for its efforts to grow and provide its members
with outstanding resources.
Our
members advance their information management knowledge and
careers continuously through various chapter-sponsored
activities and opportunities included in this web site.

The
Baton Rouge/Lafayette chapter is located in South Louisiana,
covering the I-1O corridor from the Texas/Louisiana state line
to just outside the Greater New Orleans area. The Chapter
includes members from as far west as Lake Charles, LA, as far
east as Chalmette and Mandeville, LA and as far north as
Alexandria, LA.
Baton
Rouge and Lafayette are, respectively, the second and fourth
largest cities in Louisiana. To get from one city to the other
one must travel over several bridges, including a 20-mile
bridge, which crosses the Atchafalaya River, and Basin, the
Henderson and Atchafalaya Swamps, and the Mississippi River
Bridge.
Three
ARMA chapters border the chapter's area of operations. To the
West lies the Houston chapter, to the East the Greater New
Orleans chapter and to the north, the Ark-La-Tex chapter.
